Is this Internet fraud?
I purchased the Acronis software set; Acronis True Image Home 2010 + Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0 last week. Paid for it via PayPal and downloaded the two most current files. After installing Disk Director and trying it out to verify that it functioned, I installed TIH 2010. I tested TIH 2010 to see it it would backup my computer which it did. Then I ran DDS 10. It would not function; error message stated that the program could not find certain files. I reinstalled DDS 10 and once again it functioned but TIH 2010 wouldn't run. I repaired TIH 2010 to get it to run but then DDS 10 stopped. I used REVO to uninstall DDS 10. Then I found that the other computers on my LAN couldn't access the computer where TIH 2010 is located. I spent an hour waiting on the phone for tech support. Never spoke with anyone.
According to the Acronis forums, it appears that Acronis has some major issues with their software as well as their tech support. How can I receive an RMA so that I can get my money back? Selling a package of software that is not compatible with its own components and knowing that they can cause problems without disseminating the risks, in my opinion is fraud.
How do I get my money back?

Thank you, Fungus. I purchased the software via the Acronis web site. I think its a sad day when people get faster responses from a "Fungus" than "Acronis." {;-)

If the Chat feature on their website is working (sometimes it doesn't ... are you surprised?) try that.

I was on Chat this morning for about an hour. Tech support has processed a refund. His e-mail verification indicates that it could take 5-7 days for it to be posted back into my account.
I informed him that I will be keeping an eye open via this site to see if the software issues are taken care of. If they are fixed, then I would reconsider purchasing their software.

Wow! Thirty minutes since my last post and I just received notice from PayPal that my refund has been received.
That was fast!!!! I'm impressed.
