Invalid partition table (Closed)

Thread needs solution

Hello,
I got "Invalid partition table" after restoring the Windows partition (C:) using True Image 2010 recovery disk; the following happens:
-1- Boot on TI recovery disk and try to restore the C: drive
-2- For some reason, TI gives me an error message after deleting the partition.
-3- Reboot the recovery disk and try to restore the Windows drive (C:) in the "not allowed space"; the restore was successful, but the "not allowed space" was showed after a C: drive which is in fact my D: drive (second partition), and set active (??).
-4- Reboot on the hard disk gives "Invalid partition table"
-5- Tried to restore the MBR with no success

So is there any possibility to swap C: and D: drives ??? or another tricks ???
Thanks for any answer.

If your backup is a disk option backup which includes all partitions, then try restoring the entire backup by checkmarking the disk as to what is to be restored. This will restore the data in all partitions. Restore when booted from the bootable media CD.

Upon completion of the restore, check your disk for disk errors.
From a command prompt or safe mode command prompt
CHKDSK C: /R
CHKDSK D: /R

Thanks GroverH, for your answer,
No chance, i only backed up the C: (windows drive).
Is there any trick to reset the active partition mark (C: in my case which is my D: drive), and set the other partition as active; i think that will do the job.... may be thru the repair option of the Windows XP disk ??, but i do not want to do a mistake...
There is no way using the True image recovery disk ???
Thanks for your answer

You can use diskpart from the XP recovery console to mark active the right partition.

Thanks to Pat & GroverH,
I think the diskpart would do the job, but in the mean time, i used "Easus Partition Manager boot disk" from a friend, and i set the right partition to active and no problem at all...
Thanks
