Iso-Image of Windows 7 - Both partitions?

Thread needs solution

Good morning,
I'm a new member of this forum.
Today I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and Acronis TI 10.0. Now I want to back up the system via ISO-Image. Now, W7 is being installed on two partitions, the first one is active and contains ca. 100 MB and the second one contains the operating system "C".
Do I need to create images of both partitions?
Thanks and regards
RB

Rolf,

You do need to include the 100MB partition, this partition includes all your Windows 7 boot files.

Just tick the whole disk check button.

Hello all,

Let me shed some light on your concern.

Rolf, the 100MB partition is a system partition and contains boot files. Disk Manager will not allow you to remove this partition because removing this partition could cause the system to not boot. So it is recommended to back this partition up.

As bodgy mentioned, the most quickest way is to back up the whole drive including both partitions. As a result you will have a single backup archive.

Please reply to this thread if you have any additional questions.

bodgy, thanks for your help.
