Issue in Win7 64bit after restore

Thread needs solution

I've found that after a completing a restore with TIH 2010 and then using Windows Explorer that when I open a folder a new window opens even though I have the correct setting checked: "Open each folder in the same window". This is really annoying. Instead of being able to drill down and stay in the same window I get a new window each time I double click.

Now, after installing an update (7046) over my previous (6056?) I'm now getting double or some times even four windows. Something must be going on with Acronis TIH 2010.

Any ideas? This is nuts. It's the only common denominator.

I was provided this at another forum. Seems to have fixed the problem.

Details here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/...7-6a102f9c633a Looks like that was it.

Funny this used to work for me so something has been installed that apparently triggered this issue.

Properties for my Explorer shortcut in the task bar was:

C:\Windows\explorer.exe /e,/root,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

Now it's:

C:\Windows\explorer.exe /e,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

I'll play with it more over the next couple of days but it seems to have fixed the problem.
