Issues with Echo Server

Thread needs solution

I am using True Image Echo Server in a number of different locations but two are having odd issues. At one location after about a week or so of running properly TI will start getting errors while running. Every time this happens it is the same error:

Problem Info: Failed to read data from the disk.
Problem Details: Failed to read from the sector 63 of the hard disk 2

After rebooting the server will continue to work fine for about a week again. I have ran chkdsk /r and upgraded to the newest build and it has not fixed the issue. I have had this happen on other servers as well and after working with Acronis tech support for days their solution is always to upgrade to Backup and Recovery, which works, but is missing features, and we no longer have support on this install.

On my other server having issues, it will randomly report that it cannot read the disk during the verify stage. Within the last few weeks this started and it does not seem to have a pattern it will happen a few days then run properly for a week.

Anyone have an idea on how to fix these issues? I have servers running True Image 9 that have never had a problem and servers running Backup & Recovery whose only problem is the missing features, but for some reason it seems True Image Echo Server randomly causes problems on a number of servers and rebooting the server and upgrading the build are the only solutions I get.

Hello MMill,

I understand the question and will do everything possible from my side to solve the issue.

In case you have an issue during partition analysis please do the following to solve it:

  • Download TrueImage.zip and unpack it;
  • Replace with the unpacked file the one in /Program Files/Acronis/TrueImageEchoServer/

In case the issue occurs during the backup do the following:

  • Download TrueImageService.zip and unpack it;
  • Replace with the unpacked file the one in /Common Files/Acronis/TrueImage/

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you.
