Issues with Migration

I'm using Acronis True Image 2012.

My goal was to image someones computer and migrate it to a better computer. His original computer is Sandy Bridge i3 x64. The new computer is Ivy Bridge i5 x64.

I backed up his computer with no problem. However, when I try to restore the image to the new computer, I run into issues. If I don't include the drivers using Universal Restore, the computer won't boot. Not surprising, it's a different chipset. If I do include the drivers, however, the computer crashes at the initiation of the restoration. I've never had this issue before.

Any advice?
