Keep No Longer than Two and then Accumulates too many Backups

Thread needs solution

Hello

With two questions.

We have installed on our HP 8200 computers True Image 2013. We tried the newer versions and simply preferred 2013 after finding the newer True Images less than useful. On two machines that we updated from Windows 7 to Windows 10 (Pro) I get 'this app might not work correctly with this windows version). I have no issues and wonder if there is an issue using Acronis TI 2013 on Windows 10?

Question two: on a couple machines I run a full backup once per week. I have custom with keep no more than 2 backups. What happens is that the backups run and accumulate. TI keeps all backups when the instructions is no more than 2. I then need to delete all the older backups - so that I have plenty of hard drive space.

Is there a correction I need to apply so that the backup stays with only the two most recent?

Thanks!

Chuck, ATIH 2013 is not supported for use with Windows 10 and has not been tested in that OS environment by Acronis.  Only ATIH 2015 or 2016 or later are approved for use with Windows 10.

See KB document: 56196: Acronis Products: Windows 10 Support which states:

Older versions of Acronis products
Support of Windows 10 will not be implemented into older versions of Acronis products (e.g. Acronis True Image 2014 or older, Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 or older, Acronis Snap Deploy 4 or older), as Acronis development team works on the current versions only. Stable functioning of older products on Windows 10 is not guaranteed.

On your second question, it is difficult to give an exact answer without knowing the precise details of how your backups are configured. Perhaps some screen shots of the settings if you could post them?

What messages are given in the logs for these backup tasks?

Are you using the latest build 6514 for ATIH 2013?  This should be shown on the Help / About page or similar.
