kernel panic error message with ATI home 2010

Thread needs solution

dear reader(s),

Using the bootable disk made in ATI 2010 I get the following error message:
Kernel panic-not syncing:VFS:Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(1,0).
What I understand from earlier topics this has something to do with the recognition of my hardware by the Linux-based bootable ISO file.
I dl and installed the latest build of ATI 2010 from the website of Acronis and dl and used the latest bootable media iso-file from the Acronis website. Still get the same error message. I sent a request form for support last month, but no answer. I made the AcronisInfo and Acronis system reports as was suggested to me on this forum, but failed to sent these with the request for support. Multiple live chat sessions did not help.
My OS is W7 Home Edition 64 bits and I use DVD-drive from Samsung SH-S223C (latest firmware). My images are saved on a USB-HD from Freecom model SSYBBA.
Does anyone know an solution please?

Harry
