The last backup has failed

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I use Acronis True Image Plus Pack build: (6857),

I consider myself the backup apostle as I make sure I backup everything, on 2 separate disks, so I don't ever lose my work.

I purchased a new pc recently and tried migrating my files to find out all my backups (over a year's worth) were corrupted. No big deal, I built the new pc from scratch and didn't lose any info since original hdd was ok yet, ever since then, I noticed that whenever I try to validate a backup, it's always corrupted.

What I do is:

-Disk and partition backup
-click validate in Disk Backup Options
-Set destination (plenty of room)

It then starts and runs for a while but I never get a full backup which successfully passes validation.

Here is the error report I got today:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

The failure to read snapshot can be a disk issue and/or a conflict/issue with the snapapi.sys driver.

first run a chkdsk -r on every partition of the disk that fails to get backed up
second, if the issue is still there, uninstall ATI, reboot, http://forum.acronis.com/forum/19091 post #33 to clean up, reboot, reinstall ATI
