Last Resort Cleanup

Thread needs solution

For those TIH users who may be faced with blue screen halts on system startup that can't be fixed in any other way, here is some information that may be useful for implementing a last resort solution if the crashed system registry hive can be loaded for editing by any method. Usage is risky (see final notes) and the author accepts no responsibility for the results of failed attempts.

The following is a listing of the \Windows\System32\drivers files installed by TIH 2012 and the related service and device class filter entries in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet:

afcdp.sys (afcdp service - Acronis File Level CDP Helper)
fltsrv.sys (fltsrv service - Acronis Storage Filter Management - upper filter for *1 and *2)
snapman.sys (snapman service - Acronis Snapshots Manager)
tdrpman.sys (tdrpman service - Acronis Try&Decide and Restore Points Filter)
tdrpm273.sys (No registry entry)
timntr.sys (timounter service - Acronis Backup Archive Explorer - upper filter for *2)
vididr.sys (vididr service - Acronis Virtual Disk)
vsflt58.sys (vidsflt58 service - Acronis Disk Storage Filter - lower filter for *1)

*1: Device Class = DiskDrive, GUID = {4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
*2: Device Class = Volume, GUID = {71A27CDD-812A-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F}

NOTE: Registered services MUST NOT be removed prior to removal of device class filter entries. Driver files MUST NOT be removed prior to removal of registered services entries.

UPDATE: For TIH 2012 build 6131, the Storage Filter is changed as follows:
vsflt61.sys (vidsflt61 service - Acronis Disk Storage Filter - lower filter for *1)
