Lenovo ThinkPad X130e
Is anyone able to get True Image 2012 to work on a new PC? I'm experiencing a string of failures.
I currently have a tech support case open from last weekend because I can't get True Image 2012 to work reliably with a new Dell Vostro 260. Case 01505364. I've had a tech remotely connected to my computer for a long time, then uploaded photos of screen shots to the Acronis FTP site. After a week I'm still waiting for support.
Today I tried to make a factory image of a new Lenovo ThinkPad X130e. I tried True Image 2011 and it said it was going to take a couple of hours. I left it going for quite a while, but it didn't look like it would complete in a reasonable time.
I then tried True Image Home 2012. The boot CD came up with a text-based screen I've never seen before. I hit "1" for True Image and it started to load with the Acronis logo (which I noticed was skewed), but then the CD stopped and it just sat idle for over a half hour.
These are both popular computers from big name companies. Why is True Image not able to operate reliably on them?
Why aren't their patches? It looks like the last update to the boot CD was back in December. Am I missing something?
Why haven't I heard anything from Acronis on Dell case in a week's time?
