Linux and sector by sector backup
Hello all,
When doing a "sector x sector" backup of my "Linux ext3 partition" is compression used on the sectors with data , and no compression on "empty sectors" ? Thanks in advance

Anton,
Hello and thank you for you reply. I have one or two more questions... When doing a "backup" of a Linux partition , ext2, ext3, ext4, how will Acronis 2010 V-7046 handle this ? Can Ti do a "normal image" of these extensions , or will the "sector X sector " approach be used ? Also, Acronis identify's (backup screen) My Linux Mint Isadora v-9 as ext3...I'm pretty sure that it is ext4 (when looked at using "gparted" (partition manager) ....and this would explain why i couldn't do a "normal Image" Thanks in advance for your response. Regards Fred
