Local synchronisation of folder to external HDD feature REMOVED !!

Why is the feature to synchronise a local folder to an external HDD removed ?

I used this feature in the 2014 edition and now it is gone !!

Please give a proper explanation why Acronis removed this feature, because I used it to synchronise my work data to an external HDD, so I could bring my work data with me at work locations, where I don't have internet access !!!

Right now it is only possible to synchronise folders with 2 computers on the same network or with the Acronis Cloud..........

This is bad.... very bad move Acronis !

I totally agree! What an "upgrade" shock!

I bought the 2015 Upgrade an hour and a half ago and have already called Cleverbridge and arranged a refund.

Judging from comments in the forum, other features have also been stripped from the GUI.

Jazzz and Bruce, my head is really hurting right now. I used the "sync to external HDD" feature too. Please tell me that I'm misunderstanding what you're saying and that feature is NOT gone? Please tell me that b/c I've got a nasty headache trying to figure out if I'll stay with 2015 or go through the hassle of re-installing 2014 (and possibly losing one of my installations).

Mickey, Your EXISTING Sync settings from ATI 2014 will keep on working, but it loooks like it,you won't be able to create NEW local sync's to an external HDD.

Thanks Jazzz, for your input. I haven't had a chance to test the existing syncs yet - hope to do that later this week - but I still think it will be a problem if I'm not able to create any new syncs to my external HDD. Frankly, removal of that feature seems geared towards pushing the Acronis Cloud service. I hope I'm wrong... I really don't like being nudged and shoved into something I don't want or need and would have to pay extra to get. Again, I hope I'm just seeing this differently but I really don't like not being able to sync to my external HDD.

Agree completely! Cannot believe they removed sync to external HDD!! Need this function to keep photo backups on multiple drives!! BRING BACK THIS FEATURE!!!!

I just upgraded to 2015 and it never occurred to me that this feature might be discontinued. And because it wouldn't install properly, I had to remove 2014 so I lost all my syncs. I guess this is the last version I'm buying and it's time to find another vendor for backup and sync.
