Locate APPDATA on full image backup

Thread needs solution

My laptop died. I was forced to do a clean install of windows 7 pro. I went to my full image backup .tib file and could not find my appdata folders using Acronis True Image 2013. Is there a way to display hidden folders? I know system files and hidden files were not excluded during the backup. I need to copy these files folder by folder because the old laptop was running XP. I'm specifically looking for firefox bookmarks in the appdata/roaming/mozilla subdirectory

Chuck,

If you have hidden files/folders turned on in Windows and then mount the image as a volume (right click the back .tib file and "mount"), then hidden files and folders should be viewable there too.  If they aren't for some reason (although they should be), once mounted as a volume letter (let's say E:\), then just type the path in Wndows File Explorer to the mounted backup where appdata should be, such as:

E:\users\username\appdata

or in the case of XP

E:\Documents and Settings\username\appdata

and you should be able to navigate from there.
