Logon failure when trying to backup to a NAS

I have searched the forums and tried a few sueggestions to my problem but I haven't been able to get it fixed. I'm using Acronis True Image Backup 11 and I'm trying to back up my pc (Windows 7) to a network storage.
I've set up all the options, specifed the path on the network (UNC) where to store tha backup. I configred the connection settings, login and password but a few moments after I start the backup process I get this error:
"Failure to set the logon information for the backup location" (Error code 0x00400024).
No way to get past this error. I was able to to make one successful backup once a few months ago but I can't get the product to work now.
Can't believe I was able to use the product once and now I'm stuck with no support.
