Low Demand User With Simple Needs Requires Upgrade Info

Thread needs solution

Given all the problems noted here for a long time about V2010 and now 2011 re Windows 7.0 32 bit I need to hear from others - should I upgrade? I currently use V11.

Here's my environment.

I only perform full backups to an external USB hard drive for emergency purposes. I have occasionally needed to use a V11 backup to restore a drive or MBR  or file on my XP systems and TI worked reliably.

Does V2011 and v2010 work in this capacity reliably on Win 7-32? My impression is that most problems are from users who are pushing the envelope a little. While Acronis should accommodate these users, my needs are at the extreme simple end.

I trust the old TI versions and, frankly, in this context, V11 on Win 7-32 backs up well and I can restore individual files well. I've never tried a full restore. I really don't care about the other features.

So, are 2010 and 2011 reliable for low demand Win 7-32 users and can I trust V11 to work reliably in the way I use it even though it is supposed to be Win 7 incompatible?
