Make Acronis reconsider next backup date
Apologies if this been asked before.
My Acronis is 2015, latest version, on Win 7 Ult 64 bit.
My PC had an issue.. and when it booted up the clock was set to 2019
This prompted Acronis to start its scheduled backup.
I stopped it.. reset the system clock.. and rebooted..
But now Acronis still says that next backup is scheduled for 2019!!!
I stopped it before Acronis created any backup file.. (the most recent is dated 15th Feb 2015)
SO any idea how I can rest it so the next backup is a more sensible date?
Without having to delete the whole backup and start again?
Thanks in advance and best regards.

Thanks.. but I am scared it will "forget" all its history and existing backup history if I do that?
Is there not some config file somewhere I can tweak?

One option is to reset/change the scheduled backup to a new current time.
Was the contents of the backup created when the date was set to 2019, or,
in other words, did the normal files inside the computer carry a 2019 date when the backup was created?

I guess some files will.. when it booted it had the 2019 date.. so sure some files will have tagged a 2019 date.
I rechecked and it had started to create a backup file dated 2019.. so I deleted that backup (just in windows.. could not find a way delete latest of a chain in Acronis).. and then Acronis would crash on startup (that's a bit rubbish???)
So I ended up uninstalling, reinstalling and starting again.
It really does need to be more robust.. slightest thing and Acronis falls in a heap :(
Cheers

If within your 30 dayi initial free support from date of purchase, you may want to contact official
Acronis support for assistance. I do not know all the ramification of your situation such as whether a new backup would carry the 2019 dates,
Have you done any file searches into your computer using just the 2019 date as the search criteria?

I had it a long time.. couple of years.
I did a file search and as I suspected.. a fair number of files tagged as 2019, mostly associated with my Kaspersky Internet security..but some system files as well.
be interesting to know how Acronis will handle if the date changes to an earlier date!!
But My schedule is "take complete and then 4 incremental".. rinse and repeat.. so it should work through
Best regards.

There are some file utilies out there which will allow you to change the file dates. I have no specific reference.
