Malware and Restoration

Thread needs solution

I am running True Image 2009. Yesterday I discovered I had Live Antivirus on my system. Instead of removing it, I would rather restore a previous image that I know is clean. Is it advisable to reformat the hard drive first before restoring the image when viruses/malware are involved--or will the destruction of the partitions during the restore process destroy the possibility of reinfection?

Thanks...

Reformatting is not necessary. The restoration will undo the reformat anyway.

Simply boot from the Rescue CD and restore your C drive or additionally any other drives if needed. Restoring only C drive will most likely suffice.
