Manage Nonstop Backup Size?

Thread needs solution

I've used a few different nonstop backup solutions, and one aspect I've always taken advantage of is the ability to tell how big each incremental backup has been, as well as how much space each folder and file occupies in those backups. Without this functionality, how can you tell what should be excluded? There could be a 1GB folder of constantly changing files getting backed up every 5 minutes and you wouldn't know until your drive fills up prematurely.

Anyway, I've dug around and it doesn't seem that the True Image Home interface shows this information. I've also found the hidden "Time Explorer Storage" folder on my backup drive, thinking I'd just use Properties in Windows Explorer to find this info, but unfortunately the files are backed up in a format that you cannot interact with traditionally.

Any helpful suggestions, or should this be a feature request? Thanks!

Hello calbar,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.

Currently the program doesn't provide you with the desired opportunities. I assume that in Acronis True Image Home 2010 the Nonstop backup algorithm allows to implement the requested options. I will submit a request to the appropriate department, maybe, these options will be implemented in the future.
Please let us know the results, we should be sure that the program runs flawlessly. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other questions do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.
Thank you.
