MBR and track0

Thread needs solution

Using TI 2011,when recovering an image to a new hard drive of the same size should the "MBR and track0" box be checked? The way I understand it is if the drive was a different size and I selected MBR and track0,it would restore partitions proportionally not giving me a choice to set partition sizes. Is this correct?

I would like to keep the same identical partition sizes on the new drive, thanks in advance.

When restoring to a new drive, it's usually best to restore the MBR and Track 0 since you don't know what may be on the new drive.

You can always restore it separately if you need to. What you're "locked" into as far as options go depends on the version/build of TI being used.
