MBR Error 3 - Windows Vista 64bit

Thread needs solution

My old hard fail to boot and I was able to clone my old hard disk to a new one and I installed. Now I am getting a MBR Error 3 when I boot up. Should I use the Windows CD and repair file or should I do anything through Acronis True Image software?

Was the clone performed after the original drive had already failed?

Do you have a full disk backup image (.tib), created before the drive failed?

You would need to use your Windows Vista installation media to fix this issue.

Also do a search with your favorite internet search engine for "Vista MBR error 3" and take a look at the results.

Guys,
This worked great and I am so happy, I use the Acronis boot disk and clone the disk and fix the boot disk as your instructions and it work great. I would like to say thank you for your reply and volunteer help also.

This software is worth the weight in gold.
Again Thanks
