Migrating to New Win 8.1 PC - When/How Upgrade fm ATI 2013 to ATI 2014

Thread needs solution

I'm running ATI 2013 on my current Win 7, but am getting a new computer running 8.1. I'll also be updating some software (Office, my photo program). But... 2013 doesn't support Win 8.1. So I will need to upgrade, but when exactly?

Does anyone have advice on when/how to upgrade?
(1) Can I just wait, and do the upgrade to 2014 after installing it to my new PC? (And if so, will 2014 be able to connect up with the "old" data, or should I first install my existing 2013, download data files from drive image, and then upgrade?

(2) Or do I need to upgrade first, and do a backup using 2014 on my old PC?

Assuming that you no longer wish to run ATI 2013 on the old PC:
- buy the ATI 2014 upgrade.
- install ATI 2014 on the new PC.
- ATI 2014 installer will request the ATI 2013 serial #, which you will enter, then you will enter the new ATI 2014 upgrade serial #.
- you will no longer be able to use ATI 2013 on the old PC.

You will not have to purchase the ATI 2014 upgrade.

You just need to follow the instructions in the link above from your Windows 8.1 computer. It checks to make sure you are using Windows 8.1 and will send you an upgrade key to 2014 in an email and register the key in your account. After that log in to your account to download the installer for 2014.
