Missing file MSVCP71.dll after install of Acronis True Image Home 10.0

Thread solved

Hi Acronis.

After download and installation of Acronis True Image Home 10.0 my computer seems to miss a Dll file?

The error picture says:
“TimounterMonitor.exe – Component was not found
This program could not start, because MSVCP71.dll not was found. The problem could possible be solved, if you install the program again.”

I have of course tried to reinstall, but without any success.
My operating system is (on this computer) Windows XP.

Can you give me any advice to solve this problem, very annoying, and not what I expected from Acronis!
Please keep your answer simple if possible, since I’m no computer freak.

Any usefull advice to give?

Hi again.
My problem is with Acronis True Image Home 2010 and not as I stated in my first post "10.0".

I hope someone can give me some advice.

Benny,

What service pack level is your XP?

Did you have a previous version of True Image on your machine?

Hello,

bodgy, thanks for your assistance.

Benny, let me help you with the issue.

It seems that some components weren't installed correctly. msvcp71.dll is a module belonging to the Microsoft C Runtime Library and I may recommend you to copy it to the necessary location manually.

  1. Please download the file;
  2. Unzip it;
  3. Copy to \Windows\System32\ folder

That should resolve the issue.

Please let me know if the problem persists.

Thank you.

Hi Ilya.

I found the file in my old 'Arcronis 10' folder. Acronis\TrueImageHome\BartPE\Files\Drivers
Copyed the file to the folder: \Windows\System32\
and now the problem is solved.

Thank you for your help.

Benny
