Missing files in online backups

Thread needs solution

I have been using ATIH2013 online backup for some time. It has mostly been working OK after some teething problems but today when I took a look at the files stored on "the Cloud" I saw some folders were completely absent.

I've checked and they were clearly "ticked" in the settings for the backup. Also other "ticked" folders on the same drive were correctly backed up. The folders have been part of the backup for months and their contents haven't changed for some time.

Can anyone advise me on what has happened? In an earlier version (ATIH2012) I seem to remember there was a way to look at earlier versions of the online backups which sometimes had files shown which had not had to be included in the latest backup because their contents had not changed. However in ATIH2013 the "Recover" screen just takes me to one set of backup files.

Thanks for any help on this. In the mean time I am doing a new online backup which just focuses on the missing files.

Update:

I have been experimenting with this and found that when I returned to the "Acronis Cloud" some of the folders/files reappeared. Then when I returned just a few minutes later they were gone again. It's as if there are different versions of my back up on different servers and sometimes I see one and then the other.

Does this seem credible?

If you see my post on this thread http://forum.acronis.com/forum/38809 you will see the solution to my missing files. Hopefully it may help someone else who starts to see strange and worrying behaviour in the Cloud storage after a failed back up.
