Move Backup location drive

Thread needs solution

I am currently backing up 'on the fly' and weekly to an external HDD connected by USB. I want to move that drive onto a network to allow others to connect to it. This will, in all likelihood, change the drive letter.

Is there any way that I can tell the system that the drive has moved to another letter, but to continue to add to the original backup set? Thus continuing the backup regime, without restarting it?

This should work.

Go ahead and attach the disk to its new location.
Then start TrueImage.
On main menu, move mouse pointer inside the specific backup task.
Click the gear wheel on extreme right inside the task.
In the listing of opitons,
Click more
Click Move
Browse to new locations
Follow the prompts

You are moving from original storage location to new storage location.
I believe(?) it will pickup/continue numbering.

Personally, if it were me, this would give me a chance to start over with a new backup scheme and a fresh full backup and a new storage folder.
If using incrementals, remember to keep the number of incs at a small reasonable number as any restore will require that all inc's backward be present and readable.
