Move migrate or relocate nonstop backup data to new or different drive
TIH 2010 build 6053 Windows 7 64bit
Is there an official/supported method of moving the nonstop backup data to a different drive? I hate to lose all that history...
I am currently trying to just copy the hidden data folder "F:\Time Explorer Storage" from the root of one drive to the other.
Does the new drive have to have the same drive letter or volume name, or am I wasting my time because TIH is not going to recognize it anyway?
The other issue, is that the original TES folder shows a size of 290Gb, but the copy progress bar started out as having to copy over 500gb!!! Do I need to enable compression on that folder or something?
Hope I did not miss this somewhere. Many of the keywords I tried are in he subject of this thread.
Thanks in advance.

Great, will be turning it back on this AM. Took 8 hours to move from one USB drive to another.
Any clue on the size discrepancy? Even explorer shows there is magically 500gb of data in the time explorer folder on the old drive, and it is only a 320GB drive. No indication the files or folders are compressed I could find, but that would make sense. They take up the full 500gb on the destination. :(
Any ideas on how to get them back to their trim size?
