Multiple PC Backups

Thread needs solution

Do you mean networked PC's backing up to one disk drive? Is this a home set up?

You would need to have TI installed on each PC, and backing up to the same device at the same time shouldn't be a problem. You can't backup to one image file though, they would have to be different names and/or folder locations.

The Backup & Security 2010 Suite is licensed for you to install it onto three machines and it includes True Image 2010 with on line backup, firewall, and Anti-Virus.

(and you can trial it first).

I have 2 independent PCs - if I do a backup of one and name it "Dianne" and backup the other one and name it "James" will that work?
Thanks!

Yes.
Normally I will name a backup 'TIvvvv partition yyyymmdd' where vvvv is the version of TI used and then the name of the partition such as 'System' or 'Photos', and then the date. If I split the image into say 4.7GB chunks for easy copying to DVD or whatever then I suffix the name with ' x' and TI will add a number to the name, so it will end ' 20100415 x1.tib' then '....x2.tib' and so on.

You could just prefix with 'Dianne .....' and or specify a different destination folder.
