My CDROm is not bootable, need to boot from floppy disk

Thread needs solution

Hi,
one of my old laptops (Thinkpad 760EL) has a CD-Drive, but You can't boot from this one. The BIOS does not give You the possibility. So, I need to boot from some floppy disk and this floppy needs to "boot" the CDROM (with ACRONIS in it). Does anybody knows which bootdisk can do this and where to find it?

Kindest regards,
Andreas.

How about using a usb thumb drive or equivalent. TrueImage Medial builder will create a bootable usb thumb/flasb drive. It does not have to much capaciity.

You might be able to use Grub4DOS (or something similar) on a floppy and then have it load the TI ISO from a CD or the hard drive. Please note that I have not tried this.

Is the computer capable of running TI from a CD (assuming it would boot)?
