My computer crashed.

Thread needs solution

I bought Acronis True Image 2015.

I hooked it up to my computer.

My computer crashed.

Today I spent 5 hours on the phone with a tech support person and we were unable to restore my data.

Bottom line: I spent $50 for the software, $20 for the service call. 5 hours of my time which is worth a fair amount. AND MY DATA IS STILL LOST!

I have no idea how this company claims to have a solution if they do not provide one.

Disgusting. I want my money and data back.

I understand Acronis fails in your case, I just want to comment I had a similar situations, and I was able to recover the full HD image after a hard disk crash. For me, acronis worked well.

The software does work quite well.

There are many variables that can cause problems in a computer environment, both hardware and software related.
I would like very much to help but unfortunately I don't have enough experience or the time to devote to help others sort out their problem yet.....but I do know for certain that it is always best practice to TEST backups before a catastrophe strikes, and it will.

The Acronis True Image software is excellent Backup software. I have used 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014 versions. and they backup well.

As their name suggests "True Image ", and that is what it does.

So, I would suggest to look for cause of crash instead of removing the software.

I will repeat same "There are many variables that can cause problems in a computer environment, both hardware and software related".
