My fault.. Really!

Thread needs solution

I've been using TIH for years with no probs but I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 and made a full backup with the latest TIH 2013 Plus pack.
I have tried everything for the past week but there is no way I can restore my drive or even mount the TIB to run Windows error checking to correct the "Index corrupt" error that I getting.
I noticed a forum post.. Free upgrade for Windows 8.1 users (Why?), only to find that it's no longer available so I downloaded the demo anyway but that pulled the same error message!
1. The TIB validates ok every time.
2. No errors before backup.
3. I tried mounting each partition separately but can only mount one.
4. Mounting the TIB in read only format to copy files isn't really an option for me, I need the full backup restored.
5. No new hardware changes, etc.
5. I tried support but I keep going around in a loop and can't get through to them (another 20 minutes gone).
Please don't say it's your own fault for not checking the compatibility with Windows 8.1 first.
Any help would be much appreciated.

A couple possibilities:

2013 does not support win 8.1 which was one reason for the free upgrade which has since time limit expired.
Your 8.1 is most likely formatted as GPT type partitions--not the usual MBR style formatting used in prior versions.

Acronis support have indicated they will help with recovery problems without charging. You need to contact them via the usual support means and advise the help you need is with recovery.

Have you considered getting a 2015 trial vesion REcovery CD and perform a new restore using the 2015 recoveryi disk.
Or, if you wish to buy a 2015 version, there is a 30 day money back guarantee if the 2015 does not work for you.
The 2015 recovery CD can be created from the 2015 download files without 2015 being installed.
