Naming backups and deleting Backup Scheme names
How can I custom name a new backup to something other than "My Partitions?"
And how can I delete a Backup Scheme name that evidently is stored somewhere?

Thank you for the reply.
1. TI 2015 seems not to have the Remove option in the dropdown. Only choices are Validate, Open Location, Move, Remove from the list, and Delete.
2. Delete in that dropdown did not get rid of what I want to purge. When I created the backup, under Options, on the Backup Scheme tab, there is a Save As button which opens up a Save Scheme As dialogue. When I entered my name of choice and clicked on Save, I get a message that "A backup scheme with this name already exists." The name was used on another backup that I deleted. I want to re-use the name, but it is apparently saved somewhere, making it unusable unless it is deleted somehow.

OK, BOBbo, I found the dropdown arrow on the Backup Scheme tab and the Delete button. So I think those two problems are resolved.
Remaining question though is: How do I assign a custom name to display in the My Backups list on the main Backups screen, other than "My partitions?"

By default, it always puts something in the name for a new backup. You should just be able to type something different in it before you click on anything else. Otherwise, as I noted up above...
1) See my first screenshot. Use the dropdown at the end of the name and "rename" it. It won't rename existing backups, but any new ones will receive the new name. You should change the name before saving and running a backup in the future.

Thank you for your assistance. I think I have a handle on it now. As is usually the case, the Help file was largely useless.
On the assumption that your "MVP Volunteer" tag might imply some official relationship with Acronis, please relay to them this customer's considered opinion about TI 2015's user interface. I find it to be clumsy, basically counterintuitive, and just damned hard to figure out. TI 2012's was better by whole quantums. Definitely not an improvement.

Clinton, I have no official ties to Acronis - just someone who has posted a lot and gets the ability to test some of the software from time to time for helping out. Please submit feedback through the app or your online account to register feedback with Acronis. If enough people complain/suggest similar ideas, it may get changed or updated in future releases.
I've put some links for videos explaining the basics of backups and settings (doesn't hit everything, but that's what manuals, knowledge bases and forum are for. Glad to help out whenever possible.
