NAS Devices
Since I have loaded Acronis 2015 It no longer recognizes my Nas device, why? Can I get it to recognize my NAS? I thought this was solved years ago.
Thanks,
George

I can't see it under NAS connections. I can find via Browse.

The support of NASes under the NAS Connection has always been spotty with Acronis. Since this connection doesn't add or substract anything from a SMB/CIFS share (regular windows share), just use the windows shares to designate the location on your NAS. You could also use FTP but why would you?

In previous versions of Acronis my NAS device appeared as a destination. In 2015 I have to use browse. Why the step backwards?
Also, What is/are "windows shares"?

Not sure why. All what I am saying is that browsing through the windows network to see the shares of the NAS is perfectly fine. The NAS doesn't need to appear under NAS connections.
By Windows shares, I mean SMB/CIFS shares. Several NAS typical support different network file protocoals like SMB/CIFS (more Windows), AFP (more Apple) and NFS (more Linux).
