NAS drive and acronis startup recovery manager
Alright, so I backed up my hard drive and I wanted to see what to do if I ever have an issue and need to restore.
My original plan was to reinstall Windows 7 32 bit, install my NAS drive drivers ( I have one of these http://go.iomega.com/en-us/products/network-storage-desktop/home-networ… ) and install Acronis True Image 2010, then restore my stuff. Which would be a hassle, but I know it'd work.
I wanted to see if there is an easier option though. I found the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager setting and decided that seems like a good idea. So I enabled that and restarted my computer and booted into Acronis. I see an option to add a NDAS drive, that you need a certain key code or something to do, which I have no clue what that is or where it is.
I didn't know what NDAS meant, so I looked it up and eventually found out my Iomega Network Drive is in fact considered a NAS drive (makes sense, Network Attached Storage, I'm not sure how that differs from Network Direct Attached Storage, but ok...)
I didn't see my NAS drive in the list of drives and whatnot in the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager. So that would be a problem, had I had an issue and needed to recover.
I'd like to know what I need to do to get my NAS drive to appear in Acronis Startup Recovery Manager.
Thanks for the help!

Vyxie,
I cannot speak to your NAS issue but a couple other comments.
Should you have problems with your hard drive, the Startup Recovery Manager will not or at least may not be available to you. What is most important is that you create a Bootable Media which can be an Acronis Bootable Rescue/Recovery CD. This option to create the CD is within the installed program.
Whenever your system partition needs to be restored or your entire system moved to a new drive, this is best done when booted from the Rescue/Recovery CD. Create the CD and you should be able to see your NAS from within the CD. Or if not, there is other ISO Recovery CD's which can be downloaded which will be able to see your NAS.

Thanks for the tip. I just made a Rescue/Recovery CD and sadly, still couldn't see my NAS drive. How can I download an ISO that it will be viewable with?

Return to your registration page and the iso download is available on the same page where your serial number is listed/registered.
https://www.acronis.com/my/products/
If that does not work, then contact support and point to your thread asking for another iso download link which will have different drivers than the other iso files.
Download the iso and burn it onto CD as an image file.
