NAS Undetected

Thread needs solution

Hi,
I've a WD MyCloud EX2 NAS with last firmware.
My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium, updated.
The NAS works fine and I can see it in Explorer. WD software SmartWare works fine too.

I installed the trial version of True Image 2015 but I can't see my NAS under NAS Connections; I only see it in Desktop->Network->NasName->Folders

What can I try?

The NAS will not appear here. That NAS connections section is misleading because it supports only certain the NDAS file protocol which is rarely implemented in consumer NASes.

Just ignore this section and access your NAS through SMB/CIFS shares (ie Windows shares) on the network.

Hi Pat,

I have had to reinstall Acronis 2016. I have a WD Mycloud EX2. Acronis was scheduled to back up to it. I had to uninstall and re-install it and now it does not see the NAS. Any ideas on how I can troubleshoot?

Thanks
