Neither Bood CD or from inside Windows will Acronis go past "Initializing"

Thread needs solution

I have a Windows 7 Premium machine with 4 gigs of RAM, fully updated. I attempted to restore from inside Windows (which I have done in the past successfully). After the machine reboots, it displays the Acronis (linux version), finds the drives, states "Initializing" but then reboots. Nothing has been restores. If I use the boot CD (downloaded the 2011 version which is mine) and boot from it, the same thing occurs. It sees the drives, begins to initialize then reboots with no changes. Any answers?

Sorry for the typo...bood...to boot it should be. But I have fixed the issue for those who come across this too.
First, under "Tools and Utilities", then "Help", then "Check for Updates" make sure you uncheck the box to automatically check for updates. From other forum posts this looks like a potential problem. Second. reboot to make sure the F11 option does not show up. Third, uninstall Acronis. Fourth, re-install. This did it for me. Now my bootable CD and program work perfectly.

The unistall/reinstall ati should make a diff to the boot CD but glad to hear you got the prob fixed.
