New Hard Drive Discovered, Do You Want to Register?
OK, this is really getting me upset. Acronis True Image 2012 on W7K Pro 64-bit since December 2011. I purchased the 2012 0n December 20, 2011, for this new computer build. This morning during backup, I get: "New hard drive discovered, do you want to register?" so I said yes, now it says "Too many activations. Resolve Problem". This is the same hard drive I have been using since I purchased 2012. So I go to the Acronis support site to open ticket and it says: Your support expired January 2012, so it was good for one month whoopee!
Why in the world would anyone in their right mind purchase 2013 with this kind of stuff going on?
Unless someone has a better idea I am going to uninstall and go with a better option.
Ideas to fix?

Peter,
You can follow the procedure in this KB article: http://kb.acronis.com/content/22154. The article was written to be able to move an existing license from one computer to another, but you can use it to remove the license from your current computer and then you will be able to re-activate your installed copy.
In addition, you should not be charged for support concerning activation issues when contacting support here: http://www.acronis.com/support/contact-us.html.
When you are on the support page, in step 1, in the left hand side pulldown, select "customer care", and in the right hand side pulldown, select "product activation issues". You then will be able to use email and live chat, your choice.
Be sure to check to see if you have the current build (7133) of 2012 installed on your system. I believe that this problem may have been resovled in the later builds.
