New Router

Thread needs solution

All,
I have just converted my home office network to include a wireless gigabit router.

The system seems fine to access my QNap Nas where I am doing my backups, however the backup is crashing because it doesnt seem to like the path?

I previously used the NAS directly atached to the NIC on my computer, but with same pathing etc.

.....Error occurred while opening the file.
function="OpenFileW"
filename="\\?\Q:\Backups\My_partitions(1)3.tib"...

....My partitions Task is waiting for user interaction.
Description:
Information: Error occurred while opening the file.
Details: Please insert the last media of the archive and click Retry to continue. Otherwise click Cancel to stop the operation......

Q drive does exist and I can view the tib file in question.

I dont like the look of the extra \\ in the start of the path ="\\?\Q:\..

Any ideas?

Cheers

You should set up a new task. It looks like ATI has lost track of the previous destination.

You should probably also be using the UNC path (\\ComputerName\SharedFolder) instead of a mapped drive letter.

MudCrab,

Thanks for the response

I had deliberately edited the 'backup commands' to point to the 'correct' directory prior to the weekly backup

On the setup form it is/was \\QNAP....\backups, I used the 'browse' feature to re-point to the correct directory, however it seems to use the drive letters when running the scripts?

I can search the previous tib files fine..bit strange.

BTW I have a windows 7 laptop and it is fine. Mine is Vista business SP2

I shall trial setting up another backup from scratch.

PS...the backup location is listed as q:\backups on the main form.

Cheers.
