New SSD, can't get Acronis to work

Just bought a Crucial SSD for my laptop. Came with Acronis True HD 2014. Installed fine on my Windows 10 machine, but when I run the program there is a link to click for the short serial number in order to get the long number emailed to me. Clicking it does nothing. It just sits there. I can't clone my drive without this software and until I get it working I can't even upgrade it to a newer version. Help!
