No Automatic Retry - Any Options?

Thread needs solution

I have a situation where if I'm at work I want to backup my laptop every day at 11, but if I'm not I just want the backup to fail and not retry again. That is, the backup destination is only available at work and I have a laptop. I have a script that executes as a pre command to bring the destination drive online, and that works if I'm work, but obviously won't if I'm not. So if I'm home, like on a holiday, I don't want Acronis repeatedly retrying to run the backup. If it fails, I just want that one attempt made, yet I can't find any option on error handling not to retry. Is there one? Any ideas?

Check out the "Backup Options\error handling" to stop the retries

Thanks. I was actually looking at a copy of TI 2011 when asking the question and it the option to specify the retry attempts isn't in there as far as I could tell, so it must have been added at some point. One question. The reference article from Acronis on error handling says at the bottom:

This option is not available, when you back up your data to a USB flash drive or USB hard drive.

We're getting ready to specify that our primary backup medium is a new USB 3.0 5 TB EHD. Is this really true, that we can't specify the number of retry attempts, or anything else in the error handling part of TI 2015, if we use the USB 3.0 drive?

Recheck the optiions listed in the upper right corner of the program. One of the prior version had this option there.

This is part of what I was thinking but there was still more I believe but not sure......

Thanks. Is it really true that error handling in TI 2015 can't be altered if you use an USB connected external hard drive as a destination drive? If so, any idea why?

Based on your message, I did a scheduled 2015 to a usb3 external docking.
Task error handling set to 1 try.
Task errored out with an error display message and the error message of failure needed manua removal by clicking the cancel button,
after which there were no more retries.
