No Hard Drive found on Windows. Acronis Home 2011

Thread needs solution

This version of Acronis worked for backing up and cloning during 11 and 12. Haven't used it during 13, but built a new desktop, had to replace the MB and revalidate Windows7 once. Now says does not find a hard drive in Windows. Can't do a backup. Any suggestions would help, thanks.

Hi Rodney,
Lets be sure we understand your post. You are using ATIH version 2011. You used it in 2011 and 2012. You didn't use it in 2013 and your motherboard failed. You replaced the motherboard and now your installed version does not recognize the drive its installed on??

If you have changed the MB, unless you got an identical board, the storage controller is likely different than the one you had when True Image was installed. It may be expecting something different.

Merely replacing the MB and reactivating windows does not mean everything (especially your installed programs) will work seamlessly as they did before. Your operating system will have seen some major changes.

I would suggest uninstalling Acronis, rebooting and reinstalling again. Then try performing another back up. You can also try performing a back up using a boot CD, but this will only create a back up that includes your current issue.

If you want to tell us more about your hardware (old and new) and what's changed, this may help.
