No record of log activity

Thread needs solution

Recently, every back up for a Sunday was shown as failed (red) in the task log. Then further failures were evidenced on other days.
Now no record is shown at all for any day. I can confirm however that the two backups I do, are reaching the 2 hard disks that are assigned to receive them. I have re-installed true image home 2010 to try to overcome the problem, to no avail.
What have I missed or overlooked?
You help would be very much appreciated. It's not the end of the world - but I do like to have all my computer programs fully functioning as they should
