"No Such Script" Error

Thread needs solution

I must have done something that caused Acronis TI to lose a script. For some reason I started to get the "No Script Error". I was using TI 2010 build 13.0.7046 when the error started. I updated to 13.0.7160 but the error remains. I Googled the problem and found the reference to "acronisScheduler461.exe" as a fix. Do I run it to fix the problem or is there something else I should do? Also, does any know who or what caused the problem in the first place? I don't think I would have deleted a Script file in a hidden folder by mistake. I have included a screen dump of the Acronis TI Log.

Hello Ken,

Thank you for finding time to report about the issue on Forum, I'll gladly help you.

This looks like a scheduler glitch. I would suggest you to update it in order to resolve the issue. Please follow the below instrustions:

  1. Download Acronis Scheduler Manager. Open command prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd); run schedmgr.exe and issue the following command:
    task zap
This will erase all traces of the all tasks.
  2. Update Scheduler as mentioned in this article
  3. Reboot the machine
  4. Recreate the tasks

In case you need to keep all tasks, you can remove just one that's causing the issue, please follow the below instructions:

  1. Run schedmgr.exe and issue this command
    get list
It will provide you with the list of tasks you have
  2. Find the one you need to delete and enter the following command:
    task [task_number]
This will get you to this task menu
  3. As soon as you are in the task menu, enter
    Delete
and the task will be removed

This should resolve the issue faced. Should it persist, please provide us with Acronis Info from machine in quesiton.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!

Looks like that fixed the problem. Thanks for the quick response. Just curious though, everything was working ok for several months and then the problem appeared. Any idea on who or what screwed things up? I have not run CCleaner, jv16PowerTools, MSFT's CleanMgr or cleared the W7 events log since I ran the Acronis Scheduler fix program. Did one of the above possibly mess up the Scripts folder or is/was it just and Acronis issue?

Hello Ken,

Thank you for the follow-up.

This issue occurs because our software cannot use a specific backup script. It could have become corrupted or something is blocking our software from accessing it.

If you have additional questions please let us know.

Thank you.
