No way to delete backup history without deleting backup job

Thread needs solution

I have had a number of backups fail due to the fact that I don't have enough space on my backup drive for multiple full backups. Acronis isn't able to delete old backups prior to creating new ones, so whenever I run out of space for my backups, I have no choice but to manually delete the backups and delete the True Image backup job and recreate it again. This seems very silly - why isn't there a way to delete the backup files and history and keep the backup settings so I can just run a fresh backup set when I run out of space - this is a basic option in Macrium Reflect and Norton Ghost. This is also a pain because when a backup fails for any number of reasons, I can't just delete the backup files, I have to delete everything and recreate my backup settings - that means writing down all of the settings (days, times, automatic cleanup settings). This is very frustrating.

1. Before deleting the task, use the operation/clone settings and clone your task settings, then only minor corrections needed in the cloned task to begin again. My recommendation is that each new task begin with a different task name and a different storage sub-folder. Using the same names over causes grief.

2. What backup scheme settings are you using? Full only; or full plus x incremental; or full plus x differential???
Perhaps we can fine tune so automtic deletion occurs with no manual deletion necessary.
