Non-stop backup consuming resources

Thread needs solution

I'm using True Image Home 2011 on a Windows 7 computer.
I've had to turn Non-stop backup off because it was consuming huge amounts of resources to the extent that other programs were struggling to respond and sometimes froze completely. This morning the whole computer locked up. Since I turned off non-stop backup everything has been normal again.
Has anybody else experienced this? What is the solution - other than not to use it?

I'm not a nsb user so I can't help you perfect its process -- my understanding is that nsb can be a bit troublesome in terms of resources becasue of the way Win handles file operations.

However, as an alternative you could create a task to make a backup at regularly scheduled intervals. ATI scheduler can even be set to wake the pc from standby to run a scheduled task (e.g., in the off hours when you're not using the machine). so, that's one way to go.

This behavior is not typical and definitely needs to be fixed. I would advise you to try NSB diagnosis tool - it may help to resolve the problem.
