Non-stop backup paused and disappeared from backup list

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I am using TIH 2011 on a newish Toshiba portable running windows 7 64 bit and backing up to a USB3 external hard disk. In addition to a regular disk backup, which I run in batch, I have a non-stop backup of the main documents directories on my PC. This has worked faultlessly until this morning.

When I woke my PC up from its overnight sleep I saw an icon in the windows notification area telling me that 'non-stop backup is paused'. There was no option to restart it. When I opened TIH the non-stop backup was not included in my backup list. Using the option to 'browse for backups' I can find it on my external hard disk and see that it was last updated just before I went to sleep last night. (It is only 3.58 GB). The new entry in my backup list, however. only gives me the options to explore and recover or delete this backup, not restart it or edit its settings.

Is there any way I can correct this?

Is this a known 'feature' or bug? Does it indicate that something else is wrong?

Many thanks for any advice.

I have a similar problem - yesterday I had a note on power up of a file issue on my non-stop backup drive. I clicked on the bubble and nothing happened. I went about getting the computer going and used it the whole day. When I went to shut down it locked in the endless "waiting for operations to finish". I knew this was about the non-stop backup. So I shut down the computer.
Today the non-stop backup is in the list but when I go to start it it does 'calculating''' for a while and then just disappears from the list!

GREAT SUPPORT GUYS! No message - nothing telling me this is no longer functional and I can't even get it to work at all now. So now what?! I did do a full back up meanwhile and that worked fine.
