Non-stop backup quits after an hour or 2

Thread needs solution

Running windows 7x64, Acronis TIH 2011 latest revision. I have uninstalled, re-installed, checked disks for errors, etc. regardless of my attempts to self-correct, nonstop backup creates the first full back and then runs every 5 minutes for about 1-2 hours on average and then stops updating. Program is still running, just no more updates to data that has definitely changed and is included in the backup.

Has anyone else see this behavior and did you find a resolution? I have been trying to figure this out for days. No other SW was installed or any other Windows updates.
