Nonstop backup error causing no backup to occur

Thread needs solution

Hello,
I am having an issue with the Nonstop backup. Whenever the backup tries to run, I get the following error in the Windows Event Viewer:

Cryptographic Services failed while processing the OnIdentity() call in the System Writer Object.

Details:
AddLegacyDriverFiles: Unable to back up image of binary Microsoft Link-Layer Discovery Protocol.

System Error:
Access is denied.

The nonstop backup process then stops and does not back anything up.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

This appears to be a Windows 8 bug. See link below:

I followed the link provided and that solved the problem of the error in the eventlog. However, it didn't seem to solve the problem of the nonstop backup not completing. When I start it, it states "calculating time remaining..." then just stops again. There are cpd*.data files with today's date on them on the backup drive, but nothing is showing as backed up as of today when I try to go through the restore file process.
