NonStop Backup Runs but No Tray Icon

Thread needs solution

I am running ATI (Build 6868). It is running perfectly, including NonStop Backup.

My only issue is that there is no visible icon in the system tray for Nonstop Backup.

Any easy way to get the tray icon to show up?

I've tried restarting the Acronis Nonstop Backup Service, and although the popup indicating the service status appears, the tray icon never does.

It's not a big deal, but it is an easier step to start and stop the Nonstop backup than opening the full ATI GUI.

Cheers,

David

I'm having the same problem with no systray icon. No convenient way to check to see if running.

I am actually not seeing tray icons for any Acronis activities: not for running backups or for NonStop Backup.

Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

Is the TrueImageMonitor service running?

Thank you, Pat L!

A bit late, but this information will be of help to the OP and everyone who looks this up.

You won't find this among Windows Services. In Windows 7, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome\TrueImageMonitor.exe) and double-click TrueImageMonitor.exe to start it. This does the trick of restoring the icon!!!

I wonder why this nugget of information isn't in the True Image Knowledge Base?

Frank D

Yeah. TrueImageMonitor is not a service, it is a startup item.
