Nonstop backup stopped, now behaving strangely

Note: I have posted previous issues related to this condition. This is on my W7 machine with an external USB backup drive. Some posts may be for my Vista machine.

After rebooting, NSB had started. When I came back to the machine, the system tray icon showed NSB had stopped. I launched TIH, and the NSB job was missing. After about 90 seconds, it popped up in the list of TIH backups. The last two logs indicate nothing is wrong, bit it indeed stopped. A screen shot of the log file is attached. Note the NSB stopped icon in the lower right corner of the screen shot.

There is no provision to start NSB in the TIH window (screen shot attached).

Trying to edit the NSB setting generates an error, and there is no information in the knowledge base about it. A screen shot is attached.
