Nonstop Backup storage cannot be found

Thread needs solution

Getting this message when I try to turn on Nonstop Backup:

"Partition with the Nonstop Backup storage cannot be found. Please reselect the partition or choose another one to store nonstop backups to"

I believe I had nonstop setup and working and then it apparently stopped. I'm using a large USB drive (1.5 TB) to backup to. The drive is there, I can browse to it and select it for Nonstop to use but when I try to turn Nonstop on I get the above message.

I would be fine with reconfiguring Nonstop from scratch and have it recreate any missing files and restart the whole initial backup if that would help but I see no way to do this. From the Nonstop config screen I've delected and reselected the storage drive but I always get the above message when I try to turn on Nonstop. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit using Acronis 2010 build 6,053.

I installed Acronis a few weeks ago, did my initial full system back up and cloned the C drive using an external drive as the destination. Once done, I tried to set up the Nonstop Backup and received the same error message. I am hesitant to dig much deeper on my own, as my laptop hard drive is failing and I am actually booting up from the external drive.

To my knowledge, I did not manually delete the storage folder, and I don't think that the two processes I used would have affected it. However, being a newbie to this, I can't be sure. Hours of searching online for help has not brought me any type of solution.

Help would be appreciated. I am running Windows Vista Home Edition.

I have the same problem. I have been unable to get nonstop backup to work, even though the partition I wish to use fits all the criteria (over 300GB and NTFS). I am using Win 7 32 bit.

I wanted to add that I cannot find a "Create Storage and Make Active" button. I am sending three screenshots hoping that someone cannot spot something I am missing. Thanks.

I'm having the exact same issue, and Acronis tech help has not been, well, helpful. Want to bump this up.
